Sterling new asset hunt as Chinguetti decom delayed

Cash rich Sterling Energy hopes to buy into new projects in Africa in the near future but said the decommissioning of the Chinguetti field off Mauritania has been put back. The UK company in recent months has handed back its interest in Block C-3 off Mauritania and the Ntem block off Cameroon as well as acreage in Madagascar. This has left it with an interest in Tullow's Block C-13 off Mauritania where a well will be drilled next year and Genel's Odewayne acreage in Somalia where seismic will shortly start.
