Statoil hit by US $1 Bn Nigerian Agbami bill

Statoil could owe up to nearly US $1.2 Bn following a new calculation on how much of the Nigerian Agbami field is in its acreage. The field is mostly in Chevron operated OPL 216 but also straddles into Statoil's OPL 217. Until now the unitisation agreement had seen Statoil hold 20.21%.
