Vioco raring to go with new Cote d'lvoire shallow platform plan

Vioco Petroleum hopes to make a final investment decision on its shallow water platform development of the Gazelle field off Cote d'lvoire before the end of the year after submitting a revised development plan. Originally Vioco had hoped to tie into the proposed gas pipeline from Grand Bassam to Abidjan but progress on this has slowed. The company instead submitted a field development plan last month based on the supply of gas directly to a new power plant to be constructed adjacent to the Gazelle onshore gas processing facilities. "The main terms of the gas sales contract have been agreed and the project is on track to start execution by the end of 2014," Vioco said.
