New operator to redevelop Cote d'lvoire shallow field

A new operator has been handed the rights to redevelop the Belier field off Cote d'lvoire. The field, in Block CI-24, was the first to produce oil off the country when it started back in 1982 when ExxonMobil was operator. It is in around 200ft (61m) of water, 10km from shore and the little known Cibelle Energy group has been given 18 months to decide on the resumption of operation or decommissioning of the existing platform.
