Chevron invites interest for Angolan shallows

Chevron is one of the first companies to be launching a new project since the oil price drop and is asking contractors to show interest in shallow water pipelines and platform work off Angola. The work is in Area A of Block 0 off Cabinda on the Kun-gulo water injection platform (KWIP) and Vokn platform. The work involves installation of around 8km of 20-inch pipe, 5km of 16-inch and 2km of 10-inch in a water depth of around 100ft (30m). There will also be topside work modifications and deck extensions along with multiple risers and subsea connections.
