First E&P talks Nigeria FPSO and gas giant

First E&P is talking to FPSO contractors about a US $800m phased development of the shallow water Anyala and Madu fields off Nigeria saying it wants to take advantage of current project pricing. The company had been looking at a multi-platform and FSO development of the fields in OMLs 83 and 85 but is said to have decided that using small conductor-supported minimum facility wellhead platforms and a leased FPSO is the most cost effective option with the lowest up-front capital needed. It also avoids problems of onshore pipeline sabotage.
