摘要

A local field isolates of Fowlpox virus (FPV), maintained in the Department of Veterinary Microbiology, College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, N.D. University of Agriculture and Technology, Kumarganj, Faizabad was used, fluorescent antibody technique was applied for the detection of virus in the FPV infected BGM-70 cell monolayers in Leighton tubes. The infected BGM-70 cells were stained on 6* day of 3* passage and 5* passage and observed for virus specific antigen. The yellow green fluorescence was detected in perinuclear area of infected cells. The number of cells showing fluorescence increased with time and passage of infection.
