M&P planning African exploration acceleration

Maurel & Prom is to ramp up exploration on its African portfolio again this year with seven wells planned. The French operator had a relatively quiet 2012 but is now planning wells this year in Congo Brazzaville, Gabon, Mozambique and Tanzania. In total its share of exploration and appraisal will cost around US $100m with another $258m on development in Gabon.
