Wong and Sandier(1992)postulated that(1)the excess Helmholtz free energy of mixing is pressure independent and consequently that(2)the excess Gibbs free energy expression of an activity coefficient model can be equated with the excess Helmholtz free energy of an equation of state(EOS)evaluated at infinite pressure.
