A note on the multiplicity and final Betti number of a level algebra

Let S be a polynomial ring over a field K and let R = S/I be a Cohen-Macaulay level algebra where I is a graded ideal. In this paper, as a comparison of multiplicity and final Betti number of R over S, the inequality beta(p)(R) <= p/M-p e(R) is obtained.
