Survey: Most Consumers Lack Confidence in Health IT Benefits, Privacy Protections

A national poll of 12,090 healthcare consumers by Black Book show the majority are skeptical of the overall benefits of health information technology such as patient portals, mobile apps, and electronic health records-mainly due to consumers being spooked by numerous reports of data hacking and a perceived lack of privacy protection by providers.
