摘要

As the research on the prodrome to psychotic conditions has expanded and developed (referred to with various terms, such as the ultrahigh risk [UHR] state), several things have become clear. The first is that only a minority of individuals identified as being in the prodromal state eventually receive a diagnosis of a psychotic condition.1 Furthermore, a larger number of patients who appear to be in the prodromal state appear to recover from their symptoms, and another group apparently does not either worsen or improve.2 These outcomes do not appear at present to be markedly altered in response to different treatments offered during the prodromal period.
