THE NUMBER OF industrial robots in use around the world will almost double from 1,828,000 in 2016 to 3,053,000 by 2020, according to the latest forecasts from the International Federation of Robotics. Between 2018 and 2020, the IFR expects the annual growth rate to average 14%.
