Sick has announced a motor feedback system with a Hiperface interface that, it claims, takes precision and reliability to the next level for hollow-shaft motors and direct drives. The SES70/90 single-turn and SEM70/90 multi-turn encoders can be mounted on a hollow driveshaft without needing extra mounting tools, making components such as timing belts and couplings unnecessary.
