Tim and Louise Downes' 370-acre Longnor Farm provides grazing for a 300-strong dairy herd from February to November, and 20 acres of oats grown forwholecrop silage.They also have a second unit at Webscott Farm, Myddle, some 18 miles north, which supports a further 215 cows and is managed by Andy Farrow, who used to work at Longnor.
