Improvement of management processes in agribusiness co-operative

The author of the paper is analysing management processes in co-operative enterprises to establish whether co-operative form of conducting business allows the enterprise to fulfil its mission on the market. An individual agricultural enterprise -- as an economic entity, must continually assess the possible results of its activities and calculate the financial effects of its decisions. The size of output stemming from the possessed production capacity is not the main factor dictating decisions. Decisions are determined by agriculture's position in the developed economy. Under the present circumstances agribusiness is becoming an ever more difficult art which requires ever greater skills on the pan of managers. The ability to satisfy the needs of the owners of the enterprise (for example, a co-operative) is not a goal sufficient to ensure it survival on the market, to allow it to compete with rival enterprises or sell the manufactured products at a profit. This can happen provided that the membersof a cooperative will show great wisdom and determination in conducting agribusiness, reflected in their decision to entrust management to persons possessing adequate knowledge and skills. Democracy will mean not only the equality of rights but also of duties -- one vote=one member would be permitted only when members have equal stakes in the co-operative, and equal shares in the manufacture of the product.
