The acquisition of Northern Ireland's biggest grounds maintenance player has given idverde a unique opportunity to be the first truly UK-wide landscape contractor, according to its UK chief executive Doug Graham.The Landscaping Centre, which trades as Out There Services, sold to idverde in September after 36 years in business, giving the French-owned company its first foothold in the island of Ireland and boosting the turnover of the UK business to near ￡130 million. The 200-employee company grew from a small family landscaping business to become the largest landscaping and maintenance company operating in Northern Ireland, with 40 per cent market share, a E9.1m annual turnover and depots in Scotland and London.
