Activity trackers can be useful to motivate people and keep them on target. One of my favourite mantras is "you can't manage what you don't measure", and I would add to this that once you have measurements in place you need to set targets for improvement. Sadly, no one has yet invented a business Fitbit that automatically monitors everything, so we need to establish our own methods of measuring our businesses and of then using the data for progress and success.
