When I ran out of small containers for my Adenium seedlings. A little experimentation provided a solution. Some small plastic cups were available but they needed drainage holes. First, I tried to drill the drain holes but the drill just tore the plastic. The ideal solution turned out to be burning the holes with a soldering iron. A small wood burning iron also works. I use a 1/8" diameter tip for most containers.This method is also useful to convert food containers for seed starting and to add drainage to existing containers. The negative aspect to this method is the fumes. Avoid the fumes by taking the project outdoors where there is good ventilation.
