The equipment is for watering growing plants in a greenhouse and for each greenhouse section has an endless cable (5) which is fed over rollers (4) at opposing upper ends (2) of side walls (3) of the greenhouse section (1). With the cable is an upwardly standing component (6) of a water supply pipe (8) provided with outlet mouths (7), coupled so that the water supply pipe extends horizontally crossways to the length direction of the cable and over virtually the width of the greenhouse section. The water supply pipe is coupled to a hose (9), which is connected with a remotely operated tap (10). The backwards and forwards movement of the cables of a number of greenhouse sections is activated by a single motor (11).
