Build a Potting Bench

I wasn't sure I really needed a potting bench, but keeping potting soils outdoors seemed like a good idea. Beside, with the weather being so unpleasant, a nice indoor building project seemed like a good idea.I spent an evening on line looking at the bench photos that came up on a Bing "potting bench" photo search, and decided on a plan that looked like it would serve my purposes. There was actually a limited drawing there that gave some basic dimensions. It's made of 1-inch pressure-treated southern pine, both 6- and 8-inch wide material, and was assembled using the Kreg system with the square drive screws. It is 2 feet wide and 4 feet long. The work surface is in three sections that lift off. The left section shown has slots for brushing spilled potting soil into a plastic pan that is located just under the surface. There is also a solid section that can be put there to replace the slotted surface when not using the bench for potting.
