The Philippines is among the world's top producers of tilapia but a majority of the production goes into domestic markets because harvest size is too small for global markets.However, testosterone developed from Benguet pine pollen may give the Philippines a good shot at the lucrative global market.The product, fishPine, has been proven to produce an all-male tilapia population according to Dr. Ravelina Velasco, acting dean of the College of Fisheries at Central Luzon State University (CLSU).
