Saudi Aramco insists that natural gas remains a key part of its development strategy.But its recent decision to slash spending to cope with lower oil prices suggests that costly unconventional gas projects could drop down the pecking order in favor of associated gas.Output of the kingdom's ultra-low-cost associated gas is determined by oil production,and Aramco's move to open the oil taps in a bid to expand market share will push up associated gas output too.
