The Alliance for Beverage Cartons and the Environment (ACE) and the Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI) have both expressed concerns with regard to the definition of "plastic" and what constitutes "a main structural component" in the remit of the draft guidance2 on the Single Use Plastics Directive (SUPD), which came into force 1st July 2019.
