Research on EPS Control Strategy of Heavy Vehicle Based on Simulink

摘要

As one of the hot spots and advanced technology for the development of automotive electronic control technologies, electric power steering system has broad application prospects. Due to the variety of driving conditions for heavy vehicles, a reasonable power steering system is critical to heavy vehicles, and the design and development of EPS system of heavy vehicles has a very large development space. According to characteristics of heavy vehicle steering and driving, combining with the steering power characteristic of electric power steering system, the control strategy technology of heavy vehicle’s electric power steering system is analyzed and studied in depth. Aiming at the change of the control mode of the EPS system of heavy vehicles under different driving speed, the strategy of power compensation control, damping control and returnable control are designed. A comprehensive control strategy for the electric power steering system for heavy vehicles is established. Finally, the feasibility is verified by simulation, which provides a theoretical reference for the follow-up development and design of the heavy vehicles EPS system.
