LIKE MANY OF us, I often wonder if I've made the right decisions after choosing the spec of a new car. The word 'diesel' is far dirtier than its CO_2 emissions these days, but the relatively poor fuel economy of my Stonic's 1.0-litre petrol engine when commuting did make me question whether I should have gone for the 1.6 CRDi model instead.
