HYUNDAI'S PROGRESS AS a motor manufacturer is something of a triumph, the South Korean company only started producing cars in 1967 and with its subsidiary, Kia is now the fifth largest car manufacturer in the world with sales in 2017 of 6.5 million against world number one Volkswagen Group's 10.1 million, as a sign of its intentions, Hyundai built the biggest and probably most efficient car factory in the world in South Korea, which now makes 1.5 million cars a year, that's one every 20 seconds!
