Brazil, Colombia and Peru take lead in trialling electric trucks and buses

Brazil/Colombia/Peru - Three countries on the South American continent - Brazil, Colombia and Peru - are being pro-active in the search for alternatives for transportation of passengers and cargo in their respective countries. Brazil can be considered perhaps the most active with a number of bus routes in the city of Sao Paulo now operating using either full electric or hybrid buses, supplied by electric bus builder, Eletra - Tecnologia de Tracao Eletrica of Sao Bernardo do Campo, Sao Paulo State (SP) and buses supplied by China's BYD, via its subsidiary company, BYD do Brasil in the city of Campinas, State of Sao Paulo.
