Germany/Turkey - Schmitz Cargobull AG has begun trailer production of semi-trailers in Turkey. Schmitz Cargobull officially opened its new production plant in Adapazari, Turkey in October. The so called multi-production plant (MPP) is to be used to assemble both curtainsiders and box bodies. Plans are also already in place to add another assembly line for tipper trailers. Production capacity in Adapazari has been designed for flexibility; initially it is to be able to assemble up to 3,400 units per year.
