Germany/Turkey - Sileo GmbH of Salzgitter has developed a 25m double-articulated electric city bus that it unveiled at Busworld in October. Built for an order from Bonn (which required special permission to operate such a long vehicle) and for testing in Istanbul, the S25 is a 24.38m long battery electric vehicle (BEV) with the electric drives (the ZF AVE 130) positioned at the second and third axles, with independently suspended steer axle in the front (ZF R 82 EC) and the non-driven axle (ZF AVN 32) at the rear. The articulation is electronically controlled.
