Climbing equipment and techniques have changed greatlyover the past several decades. However, our approach to aerial rescue has remained essentially the same. We still measure our ability to perform a rescue by our capability to ascend a tree and bring a dummy down. Unfortunately, the medical condition of the injured worker often is ignored.
