The National Rural Network:national Meeting in Portlaoise, Thursday 29th March 2018

National Rural Network (NRN) held a meeting in Portlaoise on the 29th March 2018 for the agricultural advisors and other interested parties and following is my report.The introduction from Philip Farrelly Secretary (NRA) explained what they do and how they are funded.The NRN aims are focusing on the following areas, bio-diversity; climate change; EU life (environmental and nature conservation); EipAgri (bring farmer, researchers and other stakeholders together for sustainable farming and forestry); LEADER (resourcesfor rural communities); Ability and competitiveness to create smart practice models for rural ventures. And they also have an interest in food production in rural areas.
