As the EU's Sustainable Use Directive (SUD) requires growers to prioritise non-chemical methods of crop care wherever possible, growers are increasingly being encouraged to choose alternative ways of strengthening and protecting their crops. Several key specialists were at the National Fruit Show to inform growers of some of the many new options available. A number of these were newcomers to the Show, perhaps highlighting that fruit growing is entering a new era.
