Top topics to watch in 2020

For the past 11 years a panel of researchers - led by conservation biologist Bill Sutherland - has convened annually to produce a 'horizon scan' of issues that could have a substantive effect on global conservation in the coming year. Towards the endof last year IS diverse new topics were identified as likely to have both positive and negative effects on conservation efforts in 2020.The issues ranged from invasive tick species and declining kelp forests to international law and the effects of blockchain technology.
