A new market segment is taking its place in the ceramics sector: extra large slabs with a thickness ranging from 3 to 30 mm and dimensions up to 1.6 by 4.8 m. In order to be adapted to different architectural requirements, after firing these slabs call for subsequent processing, such as for instance cutting or drilling small or large holes in different positions on the slab.
