China's Jiabaijia to build polyurethane auto seating plant

Zhengzhou, Henan - Zhengzhou Jiabaijia Trade and Commerce is planning to build a 200,000 unit/ year polyurethane auto seating plant in Zhengzhou, Henan province. Located in Zhongmu Automobile Industry Cluster District, the plant has more than 21,000 m~2 total area, and is expected to take two years to complete, according to the project's environmental filing. The plant has CNY 78m ($ 12m) investment earmarked, and will create 50 new jobs when on stream. Phase one of the project has 4kT/year polyurethane foam capacity, with an 18-month construction period. The company plans to market the foam, before the second phase of the project, seat manufacture, is in operation, the filing said.
