Activation of local light industry development is undoubtedly one of foremost issues to be solved by executive power in our state. Nevertheless, certain field experts are convinced that unduly fulfillment of State Customs Service functions, in particular in fighting with understatement of imported articles customs value and smuggling, does not promote protection of national manufacturers and forms negative tendencies of light industry goods domestic market development. Ivan Berezhnyuk, Deputy Director of Department of taxes and tariff regulation, Head of the Office of control over determining of customs value at the State Customs Service of Ukraine comments on situation that emerged in the sphere of legislative requirements' adhering while importing light industry commodities to Ukraine.
