5 Jahre EurSafety Health-net im Nordwesten Niedersachsens: Ein weiter(er) Blick zuruck und ein kleiner in die Zukunft

From the infectiological point of view, border regions represent an enormouschallenge. Pathogens can be transferrred across national borders and thus enter a national health system that differs, from the country of origin. Consequently, networking of the healthcare workers is of tremendous importance with regard to infection prevention. Following the EUREGIO project MRSA-net, the new project EurSafety Health-net, which comprises the whole Durch-German border, was approved in 2009. Improvement of patient safety and protection against infectious, diseases on both sides of the border were the major objectives of this majeure project. Central elements to reach these aims were coordinated interaction between health care providers on local and inierregional level and the development of defined quality seals for hospitals and for nursing homes.
