A photoprotective composition comprises aqueous and oily phases and a water-soluble or water-dispersible polymer of acrylamido-2-methyl propane sulfonic acid(AMPS). partially or totally neutralized , crosslinked or non crosslinked, and a UV-filtering system comprising a UV-A filter compound of the type 4,4-diarylbutadiene.
