In the years 2016-2017, the trials with the cultivation of sugar beet varieties cultivars tolerant to Heterodera schachtii (Schmidt) nematodes were carried out in Radlówek (kujawsko-pomorskie, Poland). The aim of the study was to determine the degreeof multiplication of the cyst nematode population in the soil compare to the nontolerant standard variety. After the harvest, root yield, sugar content and technological root quality for the tested varieties were determined. The risk assessment of nematode population growth in cultivation of tolerant cultivars was also performed. In 2016, three tolerant sugar beet nematode varieties were tested (Toleranza KWS, Panorama KWS and Slawa KWS), and as a control - the standard variant (Primavera KWS) and in 2017 tolerant variety Eliska KWS was added to the study. Based on the obtained results it was concluded that the multiplication of cyst nematodes was significantly lower in tolerant varieties and root yield and sugar yield were definitely higher than in the standard variety.
