We’ve longbeen advocates of the replacement of coalfired capacity with gas fired capacity. For awhile, the model seemed to be that asrenewable facilities were being constructedthere was a small gas-fired combined cycleplant also constructed to provide powerwhen the sun wasn’t shining or the windwasn’t blowing. The threat to gasconsumption – and pressure tubeconsumption – was that more efficientstorage would be developed that wouldeliminate the need for the gas facility.
