The standardization of films for agriculture and horticulture is made within the framework of the technical committee EUROPEAN STANDARDIZATION COMMITTEE CEN /TC 249 Plastics.The workgroup Films for agriculture is livened up by Italy.The most active countries are France, Spain and Italy and, of a way more targeted according to the subjects, Sweden, Belgium and Germany. The European standards published in the early 2000s are in the course of revision to adapt them to the present products on the market, take into account the improvements of the technologies of production and contribute to the sustainable development.
