Indian producer 6NFC forced to shut down plant again / Malfunctioning heat exchanger causes gas leak

For the second time in a year, Gujarat Nannada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals (GNFC; Bharuch, Gujarat / India; www. gnfc.in) had to shut down one of its two TDI plants in Dahej, Gujarat. On 15 January 2018, a malfunction within a heat exchanger again led to a gas leak, but fortunately, no one has been injured this time. It is unclear how long the 50,000 t/y plant will be out of operation.
