FErC pressed to stop work on Weymouth compressor after court ruling

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is being urged to stop construction on Enbridge’s Weymouth, Massachusetts, compressor station after the 1st US Circuit Court of Appeals vacated an air permit for the project. In light of the ruling, two nonprofit groups opposed to the project and Representative Stephen Lynch, the Democratic congressman representing Weymouth, asked FERC to halt construction of the compressor, which would enable northbound natural gas flows on Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline and into Canada.
