FERC pressed to stop work on Weymouth compressor after court ruling

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is being urged to stopconstruction on Enbridge’s Weymouth, Massachusetts, compressorstation after the 1st US Circuit Court of Appeals vacated an air permitfor the project.In light of the ruling, two nonprofit groups opposed to the projectand Representative Stephen Lynch, the Democratic congressmanrepresenting Weymouth, asked FERC to halt construction of thecompressor, which would enable northbound natural gas flows onMaritimes & Northeast Pipeline and into Canada.
