This trial was conducted in a mature vineyard at the Lake Erie Regional Grape Research and Extension Center in North East, PA. Vines were trained to a single-curtain, high-wire cordon system. Treatments were applied to three-vine plots in a randomizedcomplete block design with four replications. Fungicides were applied at 50 gal/A using a Friend covered-boom plot sprayer at a pressure of 100 psi. Alternative fungicides (OSO 5%, Fracture, Double Nickel) were compared to an unsprayed check and a standard rotational program for all diseases. The active ingredients in OSO, Fracture, and Double Nickel are polyoxin D zinc salt, seed storage protein derived from Lupine, and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, respectively. Applications were initiated about two and half weeks before bloom with spray intervals ranging from 9 toll days. Foliar powdery mildew incidence and severity were determined 3 and 17 of Aug on 25 randomly selected leaves per plot. Powdery mildew incidence and severity on fruit were determinedon 10 Jul and 3 and 17 Aug on 25 randomly selected clusters per plot. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (SAS Institute Inc., Cary, NC).
