Field bio-efficacy study were conducted during Kharif seasons of 2016 and 2017 for two years for evaluation of Milastin-K (Bacillus subtilis KTSB 10151.5% A.S.) for control of bacterial blight (Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. punicae) on pomegranate. Trials were conducted in RBD at Punjab Agril. University, Ludhiana. Results compiled revealed that Milastin-K alone at 1.0 ml/Land 2.0 ml/L, three sprayings gave about 29.04% and 30.58% reduction in bacterial blight disease incidence respectively. Similarly,soil application of Milastin-K alone with drenching at root zone at 1.0 ml/L and 2.0 ml/L gave 37.01 % and 48.01 % reduction in bacterial blight disease respectively. However, Milastin-K @ 1.0 ml/L and 2.0 ml/L each at root zone drenching + foliar spraygave 50.74% and 63.65% reduction in bacterial blight disease incidence respectively. Similarly, Milastin-K alone @ 1.0 ml/L and 2.0 ml/L each at root zone drenching + foliar spray gave 155.01% and 209.77% higher yield than control treatment. Likewise, spraying of Milastin-K did not show any phyto-toxic effect on pomegranate plants. Hence, Milastin-K (Bacillus subtilis) a bio-fungicide fits well in integrated disease management and may be useful for export quality pomegranate cultivation.
