摘要

This paper presents usage of a digital storage oscilloscope (DSO) to visualise the switching of electromotive force (emf) induced in a stationary solenoid with an oscillating bar magnet. The instantaneous switching of induced emf observed on a DSO screen is due to the flow of induced current through a solenoid in the reverse direction as per Lenz’s law. The improved experimental setup helps one to understand the workings of various components as well as the effect of velocity of a bar magnet on the induced emf.
