摘要

Quality control of herbal medicines requires standardization of the contents of biologically active compounds. Therefore, development and validation of analytical procedures used for quality assessment of new medicines is relevant. Roots of garden peony (Paeonia lactiflora), which is a ancestor of European peony varieties, were standardized for paeoniflorin. The possibility of using HPLC for quantitative determination of paeoniflorin in dry garden peony extract was an important aspect of designing garden peony products. A chromatographic procedure was developed and validated for quantitative determination of paeoniflorin and inclusion in quality control regulations for dry garden peony extract.
