Pertamina hikes dividends amid criticism:INDONESIA

Indonesian state-owned Pertamina’s upstream output and dividend payments climbed last year, amid criticism of its performance by Jakarta. The company produced 693,000 b/d of oil equivalent (boe/d) in 2017, up by 7pc compared with a year earlier. It does not provide a separate fgure for crude output, which stood at 342,000 b/d in January-September - just shy of 50pc of its total for the nine-month period. Pertamina paid 8.6 trillion rupiah ($617mn) in dividends to the government in 2017, up by a quarter on the year. The increase took the shine of an 18pc rise in revenue to around $43bn, following stronger sales and higher oil and natural gas prices.
